EpicTrails is celebrating the Queen's Jubilee with a 12 km ish run taking the Queen's View, Burncrooks reservoir and the Whangie. Queen's View gained its name after a visit from Queen Victoria in 1879 as it is where she gained her first view of Loch Lomond. The Whangie, is a rock formation that, folklore claims, the split was formed when the Devil flicked his tail and split the rock. The run will start from the Queens View carpark (just north or Carbeth) at 7pm. 

Guide: qualified, experience, insurance and first aid trained.

Speed and numbers: No-one gets left behind. These are social runs and not races. As a guide you should ideally be able to run a road 5km in under 35mins. We will regroup at various points along the route. Pace will vary depending on the distance covered and the type of run. Group size will be manageable to ensure the safety of all attending.

Dogs and under 18’s: Unfortunately, no dogs or under 18’s as not covered by our insurance.

Mandatory kit: Kit will vary depending on the route and time of year and this will be detailed in the run brief. Always mandatory are trail shoes. No kit = no run.

These runs are not for profit. All money raised will initially be used to cover costs and the remainder donated to a local charity on a periodic basis.
