The Cambus Quarter
27 Aug 17
It is run over an accurately measured 6.5 mile course. The race is NOT closed to traffic during the race but marshalls will be at any significant road crossings. Please comply with all instructions from marshalls. They are there primarily for you and your fellow competitor's safety! If a marshall says stop then stop! The race starts at cambus pools and does a 3.5 mile loop before returning to the start then heads along the banks of the river forth before the final mile to the finish. The route is flatter than a flat pancake and a mixture of road and trail (road shoes would probably be best suited). Please remember the route is not closed to the public and we do not have right of way etc. So please, be courteous and sensible when passing members of the public and DO NOT drop any litter on the route. Take it with you, it is after all lighter now its empty. A wee link to the route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7091341
Timing will be done olde skool with a paper, pen and stopwatch. It will be as accurate as humanly possible (and that's not Mr Garmin, Mrs Suunto or their laddies Tom Tom) but slight errors may occur.
Rules and permits
The race is run under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics Permit Event.
