Around Cumbrae 10 mile Road Race

Date: Sunday 16th September 2018
Start Time: 2.00 pm. Timing will be by a Race Chip so arrive in good time to collect your chip. Entries close on 13th September or when limit is reached. If you wishtocommunicate with the organiser, please use your own email rather than entry central and send to If you are withdrawing please give your race number so that you can be quickly located.
Limit: 500 runners. Minimum Age:17 years on day of race. Entry fee £12.00 (members of SA) £14.00 (non-members). NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. Please enter early to avoid disappointment. The race is on the road that goes round the island, the B896, and goes in an anti-clockwise direction. It is very flat apart from a slope very near the end! There is a regular ferry service from Largs pier and the journey takes a little over 10 minutes(www.calmac.co.uk/timetables) . A bus to Millport meets every ferry at the jetty. Free refreshments after the race and medals to all finishers. THIS RACE INCORPORATES THE AYRSHIRE 10 MILE ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS. This is a Scottish Athletics Permit event conducted under UK Athletics Rules. Bib numbers will NOT be mailed out. They should be collected from the DA Hall, Millport, which is opposite the Town Hall. Changing is at Cumbrae Primary School. Please bring a copy of the e-mail sent to you by Entry Central which shows your bib number or have it available on your phone.
A NEW UK ATHLETICS RULE STATES THAT FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS, HEADPHONES MUST NOT BE WORN DURING THE RACE. RUNNERS RISK DISQUALIFICATION IF THIS RULE IS IGNORED.

Male Team: 1st Team (4 to count).
Female: 17-19, 20-39, at least 40, at least 50, at least 60, at least 70.
Female Team:1st Team (3 to count) Team places are obtained by combining the times of the counting runners.
