Entries for the 2018 Dunblane 12 km Road Race and the 2 km Youth Race will open before Christmas.

Race Day will be SUNDAY 27th MAY 2018

Experience the exciting atmosphere of the Dunblane Road Race.This spectacular running event is a celebration of Dunblane’s sporting achievements and we are inviting people from all over the UK to take part. The day kicks off at 12pm for the Youth 2km race followed by the adults 12km race beginning at 1pm.

Dunblane 12 k road race takes place on SUNDAY 27th MAY 2017 @ 1pm

There will be no entry on the day.

The race starts and finishes in Dunblane High Street, close to Andy Murray's Gold Post Box.

Race Numbers  will be available from the race registration desk at Victoria Hall, Dunblane (opposite the railway station) on the day of the race. The registration desk will close at 12.30pm. Please arrive at the race venue in time to collect your race number.

The Course : After exiting High Street the the route heads north along Perth Road through the village of Kinbuck. After crossing the River Allan at Cromlix Bridge (3 miles) it turns left and follows Auchenlay Road back towards Dunblane. After re-entering Dunblane the route follows Doune Road, Springfield Terrace, Sunnyside and back into the High Street, finishing near the Gold Post Box

Toilets : There are toilet facilities in the Victoria Hall. Other toilet close to the start are the public toilet at Bridgend and over the railway at Tesco.

Age categories for both male and female are as follows :

Senior - 16 to 39 (under 16s should enter the Youth Race)

Vet - 40 to 49

Supervet - 50 to 59

Vintage - 60 +

Age is age on race day 

Safety : The route will be well signposted and marshalled. There will be a pre-race briefing. Please remember that the roads are open to traffic and you are responsible for your own safety for the duration of the event. Particular care should be taken towards the end of the route at the Fourways Roundabout and on the turn back into Dunblane Hydro.

Results : Results will be made available almost immediatley after the race and posted on both this website and Scottish Athletics website. You will be able to obtain a print out of your time, overall position and category position immediately after finishing.

Entries for the Dunblane Youth Race 2018 will open before Christmas. The Youth Race is approximately 2 km long and follows a mixed surface route starting on Dunblane High Street, routing around the Allan Water, over the Faerie Bridge and into Memorial Park, back via Bridgend and finishing near Andy Murray's Gold Post Box. The event will be heavily marshalled and the route clearly marked. Most of the route is off road - there is a small on road section close to the finish which will be closely marshalled.

MINIMUM age on race day is 9 years old. MAXIMUM age for the youth race is 15 years old on race day - anyone 16 or older can enter the 12km race.

Registration will be in the Victoria Halls between 10am and 11.30m, where you will be given your integrated timing chip / race number.

The start will be at 12pm with a runners briefing a few minutes before then. Toilets are available in the Victoria Hall, belongings can also be left in the Victoria Halls but we can't take responsibility for them.
