Sunday 8th December 2024, Start Time, 1.00 pm.
Irvine Running Club is pleased to be staging the 64th edition of this event which was started in 1959 by Willie Fulton who was a member of both Irvine Athletic Club and Fullarton Cycling Club. This year is the 100th anniversary of the running club and every effort is being made to ensure the event is a success. In keeping with the spirit of the event there will be festive prizes for the category winners and also many spot prizes. Changing, toilet, and shower facilities will be available in the Sports Club after the race. Also tea, coffee and soup will be provided.
Pre-Entry by 6th December 2024 with a limit of 120 competitors. Although this may increase, please enter asap to avoid disappointment This event is pre-entry only and there will be no entries on the day of the event. The event is covered by private insurance. The entry fee is £7.50 + Entry Central's service charge.
The Route -
The race is held over grassland, moorland and pathways with obstacles added in the grounds of Irvine Sports Club, and on Irvine Moor.
HEADPHONES MUST NOT BE WORN DURING THE RACE. ANY COMPETITOR IGNORING THIS RISKS DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE RACE.

This page is for Cyclist entrants only. Remember: Cyclists MUST dismount when the course goes over tarmac, cement or other paved ground. Failure to do so risks disqualification. Numbers should be worn on the front and cyclists should, in their own interest, endeavour to sit up as they go through the finish line so that their numbers can be seen by the finishline officials.
