Culford Sprint Triathlon, organised by Ipswich Triathlon Club, has been a favourite for both first-timers and experienced athletes for 28 years. The event is beginner-friendly, welcoming, and set in the beautiful surroundings of Culford School.

Race Format

·        Swim: 300m pool swim with competitors starting every 30 seconds

·        Bike: 21km on quiet country roads (3 laps)

·        Run: 4.2km within the school grounds (2 laps)

The race is popular with families and supporters, who can enjoy great viewing opportunities and the much-loved cake stall hosted by the local church hall.

All finishers will receive a medal, and trophies will be awarded for:

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (Open and Female categories).
• Age-group winners

Age Requirements

• Minimum competitor age: 15 as of 31 December 2026
• All age categories are based on age as of 31 December 2026

Race Information

By entering online, you agree to receive race details via email. Information will be sent at least one week before the event to the email registered on your Entry Central account, and will also be available on the event website.

Provisional Timings

• Registration: 07:00 – 08:00
• Transition: 07:00 – 08:45
• First swimmer starts: 08:45

Entry Fees & Licensing

• Entry fee: £44
• If you do not hold a full British Triathlon membership, you must purchase a Race Pass for insurance which will be offered during checkout:
• £8 standard
• £2 for participants aged 24 and under

Competitors without either a Race Pass or a full British Triathlon membership on race day will not be permitted to race and will not be eligible for a refund.

Refunds & Deferrals

If you are unable to race, you may either:

• Defer your entry to the following year (one year only), or
• Request a refund (minus a £10 administration fee)

Requests must be made by midnight on Sunday 16th May 2026.

Full results will be posted on the event website after the race.
