Membership 2023 - 2024

Perth Road Runners are known as the friendly running club and we have proudly brought runners together in Perth for over 30 years. We welcome runners from age 16 yrs old (from 1st April 2024) and upwards. Our philosophy is to inspire and be inspired so all we ask is that you have a pair of running shoes and a sense of humour. We will take care of the rest.

Everything you need to know about the club is on our website, but below is a taster of some of the activities we offer club members.

We meet twice a week throughout the year. On Tuesdays, we meet at Bell’s Sports Centre (in the foyer) at 6.30pm for social run. Usually we have enough runners to split into at least 3 groups; a slow, medium and fast group, and each run a route that lasts about 1 hour.  On every other Wednesday at 6.30pm, we have coached speed sessions at the George Duncan Athletics Arena, North Muirton and on every other Thursday evening we meet at Jubilee Car Park at Kinnoull Hill (in the lighter months) and Bertha Park School Car Park (in the darker months), for coached hill reps. We manage the Tuesday social, track and hills attendance at these events via the Spond app.

Before you take that step, we would like to invite you to one of our Tuesday sessions as a taster session and meet us all. We have a broad range of ages and abilities in our club. At our Tuesday sessions, we have a ‘Meet & Greet’ set up where one of our members will welcome you to the club and run with you, introducing you to some of our members who would likely be running at the same pace as you. If you are new to the club please let the membership secretary (membership@perthroadrunners.co.uk) know you plan to attend. This is a great way to meet us and see what the club is about. 

Perth Road Runners are an affiliated club of Scottish Athletics. We highly recommend our members join Scottish Athletics and save money on race entry fees.
