City of Lancaster Triathlon
City of Lancaster Triathlon (COLT) was formed in late 2008 and we have been in operation for 9 very successful seasons from 2009 - 2017. We aim to support triathlon at all levels in the district and to encourage more people into this amazing and challenging sport. From the complete novice to the experienced athlete we want to help you achieve your goals. In other words, come and have a go, no matter what your level of fitness or aspirations. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch!
COLT has a Junior and Adult section.
For the Adults some of the benefits you can expect if you join COLT are:
The opportunity to train and socialise with fellow triathletes from around the region.
Club bike rides catering for all levels on Saturday and Sunday mornings throughout the year.
Loan of one of the four club bikes for an agreed period.
Club Running Sessions every Wednesday night at 7pm from Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.
Access to the lake at South Lakeland Leisure Village for Open Water Swimming May-September.
Club coached swim sessions every Monday morning and Tuesday/Wednesday evenings at 3-1-5 Pool.
Adult Membership fee is £15.00 up to 31 December 2018.
Membership of COLT Juniors provides access to a full training programme that includes:
Transition training (triathlon, biathle)
Swim sessions to complement club swimming
Open Waters Swimming (May-September for14 years+)
Strength and conditioning
Shoot and fencing training (pentathlon)
Performance pathway support and advice
Regular newsletters including event information
Training is designed and led by our seven British Triathlon/Pentathlon GB qualified coaches to meet the needs of all our members. We are a very welcoming club and encourage members of all abilities.
City of Lancaster Triathlon Club is affiliated to both the British Triathlon Federation and Pentathlon GB. To be eligible for junior membership you must be between the ages of 8 and 18, on the 31 December of the year in which you intend to compete.
Junior Membership fee is £10.00 up to 31 December 2018.
