Bob Clift Cheshire Cycleway Rides 2017

11 Jun 17

This event, established in 1986, challenges you to cycle 100 miles around the rolling Cheshire countryside. It is not a race or a Sportive. For those that would like a more sociable pace, there is also a shorter 50 mile route.

Start/finish at Waverton Institute, Village Road Waverton near Chester, CH3 7QN.  There is ample free parking at this location.

We welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities. You do not have to be a member of Cycling UK (formerly CTC) although we encourage you to join our national organisation Cycling UK. You can ride on racing bikes if you wish, without mudguards or saddle bags! The route is all on road, not closed ones but do take the time to enjoy this tour of our wonderful Cheshire lanes and views.

Please note that when you enter you will receive an email confirmation, but the route details and joining instructions will not be emailed to you until approximately 7 days before the event.  I am unable to post information out.

Our events are organised by unpaid volunteers; we are not a company.  All volunteers are local cyclists, so we know the area well, and can offer advice and a friendly chat!  There is a facebook page where you can see photos and information about the route and rides; feel free to comment, ask questions or post your photos from the day!

This year you have the opportunity to buy a copy of The Link, our local magazine written by local cyclists for cyclists; usuall subscription is £10 for three copies per year but today you can have a copy of the latest edition for just £2.50, saving 80p.  If you like it, you can join our subscription list.  Tick the box on the entry form and the amount will be automatically added to your total, you can collect your copy on the day of the ride.
