Banbury Triathlon & Aquabike
We are back for 2024 with our offerings of a Sprint Triathlon, Super Sprint Triathlon or Aquabike. Your choice!
Triathlon distances are 750m swim for the sprint or 400m swim for the super sprint in the fabulous 50m (heated) open air pool, 20km bike ride in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside and a 5km run on an ‘out and back’ mixed terrain course.
Aquabike distance is 750m swim and 20km bike - it's like a triathlon but without the run!
These races are open to both individuals (Sprint & Super Sprint & Aquabike) and relay teams (Sprint triathlon only) – just make sure you select the correct form.

Banbury Triathlon is run by the local triathlon club and we are proud, once again, to be partnering with the Let's Play Project.

Banbury Triathlon: Relay Team
Being part of a relay team is a great way to experience the unique thrill of a triathlon while sharing the effort with friends.
This unique sprint distance triathlon combines a 750m Open Air Pool swim in a fabulous 50m (heated!) open air pool, 20km bike ride in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside and a 5km run on an ‘out and back’ course.

- families or friends who want to share the experience
- teams participating in inter-work challenges

Banbury Sprint Triathlon
This unique sprint distance triathlon combines a 750m Open Air Pool swim in a fabulous 50m (heated!) open air pool, 20km bike ride in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside and a 5km run on an ‘out and back’ course.

- YOU!
- newcomers who want to make the transition from 400m pool based swims to full distance sprint races, but without the fear of an open water swim
- experienced athletes wanting a great early season race.

Banbury Aquabike
This Aqua-Bike event combines a 750m swim followed by a 20km bike ride.
Your swim will be in our fabulous 50m (heated!) open air pool and your bike ride take takes the same course as the triathlons .

- athletes who hate running!
- athletes who are returning from injury and want a 'less impact' race.

Banbury Super Sprint Triathlon
The Super Sprint combines a 400m Open Air Pool swim in a fabulous 50m (heated!) open air pool, 20km bike ride in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside and a 5km run on an ‘out and back’ course.

- newcomers who want to dip their toe into the water of triathlon
- Super Sprint-ers who want to experience our fabulous open air 50m pool

Prices
A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member. For this event, Race Pass costs are £2.00 for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 otherwise.
