Join Perth Road Runners for the 22nd running of the Brig Bash!
This is a Scottish Athletics licensed event (licence number 12234)
RACE DISTANCE & DESCRIPTION
The course is an accurately measured and SA certified 5 miles run on predominantly “B” class roads. It is a flat (fast) course, perfect for a PB!
£10:00 (S.A. members £8:00)
Strictly no entries on the day, no number transfers, no refunds and no deferrals.
A limited waiting list is available for this event. Entries will close on Wednesday 22nd June at 23:59.
All entrants must be 16 years or over on race day.
You will need a valid Entry Central account to enter.
Limited car parking will be available at Dunbarney Primary School, Bridge of Earn, PH2 9DY. Please car share where possible.
Race start time: 7.30pm.
Registration: there will be no registration on the evening. Race numbers and chips will be posted out to all participants in advance. Runners must use the race number they have been allocated and must not transfer their number to somebody else.
Anyone caught transferring numbers may be banned from future events as this can have serious implications if a runner becomes unwell during the event.
Please ensure your address is up to date on your entry central account as this is the address that your number will be sent out to.
Race start location: The race starts at the Manse Road/Chaise Road junction – this is a couple of minutes along the road from the Bridge of Earn Institute. Please allow time to get there before the race starts.
Toilet facilities: Toilets are available at the Bridge of Earn Institute but there are no changing facilities so please turn up ready to run.
The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a Scottish Athletics licensed event.
HEADPHONES - PLEASE NOTE: Given the nature of the course and for the safety of all runners, the use of headphones, including bone conducting ones, during the race is not permitted. Anyone ignoring this rule faces disqualification. If you can't run without them, then please don't enter.
As this race will be chip timed you will receive your official finishing time soon after the event. Results will be published on our Brig Bash Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/brigbash and the Perth Road Runners website shortly afterwards http://www.perthroadrunners.co.uk/
The presentation of awards will commence at around 8.40pm in the Bridge of Earn Institute. All racers are encouraged to show their support.

- 1st prize for male & female teams
- 1st prize only for male & female age categories as below
One prize per entrant, except for team prizes, fastest 1st mile (and record) and course record
FASTEST 1st MILE
There will be a cash prize of £20 for the fastest 1st mile - male and female
There will also be a cash prize of £20 if the fastest 1st mile record is broken - male and female
The winners of the Fastest 1st Mile must complete the rest of the race to qualify for the prizes.

(Female) 5:20 held by Annabel Simpson of Fife AC (2019)
- Male - Chris Robison 24:03; Female - Nicola Duncan 27:30
- Cash prize of £50 for new course record, male and female.
POST RACE REFRESHMENTS
The legendary Perth Road Runners post-race buffet including delicious home baking and tea, coffee and juice will be available for all runners free of charge! In an effort to reduce our paper and plastic waste, please bring your own reusable plate and mug.
