Boddington 10 

We look forward to welcoming you to the Boddington 10 Mile race on Sunday 26th January 2025,  the race starts at 09:00

Boddington 10 is a confirmed fixture for the 2025 Gloucestershire Road Race Series.

The race HQ will be at The Gloucester Old Spot, Tewkesbury Rd, Piffs Elm, Cheltenham GL51 9SY

• 10-mile fully licenced road race on a flat and fast, officially measured course

• Prizes for first three men and women, plus vets prizes in 5 year categories from LV35 and MV40 upwards

• New for 2025 - This year we will also be offering a team prize. This will be awarded to the best placed UKA affiliated club consisting of 2 men and 2 women.

• Free drink for all participants at the post race presentation in the Clavell & Hind taproom

• The minimum age for entrants is 18 on 26/01/2025

• All race numbers and timings chips to be collected from Race HQ on the morning of the event

Online Entry Fees

Entry fees for this race are:

• £20 for UKA affiliated participants 

• £22 for non-affiliated participants

An additional 4% processing charge will be made via Entry Central.

Online entries will close on 19th January 2025, although we expect places to sell out before this date, last year's race sold out on the day that entries opened

The Course

The race is a fast, four-lap course. Starting at the top of Boddington Lane, it heads towards Boddington and then does four laps of Boddington/Barrow finishing back on Boddington Lane outside the premises of Robert Hitchins Ltd.

The entire route will be clearly signed and marshaled. Please note that road closures have not been applied for, so keep well to the left at all times.

Waiting List

A waiting list will be in operation if the race is full. We will manage the waiting list actively to ensure that as many people get to race as possible. Any entries that are withdrawn by contacting the entry secretary will be refunded minus the booking fee, if the place can be filled by someone on the waiting list

Transfers

You may transfer your entry to another runner at no extra cost via your EntryCentral login. If the original entry was at the discounted affiliated athlete fee, it can only be transferred to another affiliated runner

Cut off time

To ensure an enjoyable race experience for all runners and in the interest of local residents on the looped course, we will need to operate a cut off time. Please do not enter the race if you do not think a finish time of 2 hours or below for 10 miles is achievable. A 2 hour finish time would require an average pace of 12 min/mile or 7:27 min/km. Any runners entering the final loop (at 7.4 miles in) not on pace for a 2 hour finish will be asked to withdraw from the race as our marshalls will no longer be available out on the course
