As of lunchtime Sunday 5th April we are sold out.

Any entries received with payment in excess of our race limit will be held, with permission, on a waiting list to backifill any withdrawals until we close the data for post out of race numbers on the 24th April.

The Black Rock Race is a unique road and beach race taking place at 7.30pm on Friday 15th May 2026 in Kinghorn. The race is approximately 7km and is timed to coincide with a sufficiently low tide to enable runners to pass behind the Black Rock which is about 1km offshore from Burntisland.

Roads on the return route will open about an hour after the race start. The event is not designed for walkers due to the fast incoming tide. If you anticipate running at a slower pace than 10mins/km we strongly advise you do not to enter our event.

Your race number with embedded timing chip will be posted to you. There is no facility to collect numbers on the night.

Please provide a mobile number with your entry. Your place and time will be sent to you by SMS on the night.

All over 18s who complete the race will receive a Williams Bros. beer, redeemable using their competitor number.

There will be a presentation ceremony at The Harbour View at about 9.30pm.
