Welcome to the Balfron Family Fun Run. This is a community event run by the Balfron Primary Parent Council as part of the Balfron 10k Running Festival to raise funds for our school. It's all about fun and is open to all - fancy dress very much permitted! There will also be the opportunity to try out some fun activities and sample some tasty goodies from the Parent Council catering stall. Join us on Sunday 28th April 2024 - see you at the start line!

By entering the fun run you agree to abide by these conditions of entry and any instructions given to you by the organisers or officials of Balfron Family Fun Run.
The fun run is approximately 1 mile in length and is an out and back along the official 10k route. The route starts in front of Balfron High School and heads along the closed Roman Road towards the Dunmore Street roundabout. Just before the roundabout participants turn round and head back to the High School. To avoid collisions on the course, please make sure you keep to the left hand lane at all times. As this is not a race, participants can choose to head back at an earlier point to shorten the course. The course must be cleared by 10:45am to allow for the main 10k race to start.
We would like to encourage participants to arrive by foot or on bikes where possible. If you do need to drive, please check out the official Balfron 10k webpage or Facebook page for information on parking and leave enough time to get to the start. Please show consideration for local residents when parking. Toilets and refreshments will be avalible at the school.
The race has an entry limit of 150. If places are still available, there will be the option to enter on the day. The run is open to all; however, children aged 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult who is also required to have a valid entry for insurance purposes. Children will each receive a medal, subject to avaliable numbers on the day. Buggies and prams permitted but please be aware of other runners. No dogs permitted unless assistance dogs.
The event is a fun run so will not be timed and you will not be issued with a race number. Please arrive no later than 10.00am for race briefing and warm up - race starts at 10:15am promt. Please ensure you have access to your entry confirmation should you be asked for proof of entry by race officials. If anyone needs to register on the day, please arrive no later than 09:50am and head to the registration desk situated at the front of the High School. Entry on the day may be possible; however, this is not guaranteed.

By entering the fun run you give free use of your picture for promotional purposes. Please contact the organisers directly to discuss if this prevents inclusion in the race.
It is the responsbility of all participants to ensure that they are medically fit to participate in the race.
