Virtual Classroom Session: Monday 5 October 2026
Time: 1800-2100
What is a virtual classroom?
A virtual classroom is an online learning environment, which is interactive, and you can access it from the comfort of your own home. You can see and talk live to the course tutors, other participants, ask questions and view slides/video content. The course will be delivered in the virtual classroom in an interactive style; similar in feel to attending a face-to-face workshop. The tutors will lead you through the learning outcomes, providing information, facilitating discussions for the whole group, and managing small breakout groups.
How does it work?
Two weeks before the workshop you will be added to Brightspace, sportscotland learning hub and you will receive an email directly from Brightspace, titled 'sportscotland: Enrolment Confirmation'. This will come from d2lsupport@learninginsport.brightspace.com. Please check junk and spam folders as some email accounts filter this email out as it is auto generated.
You will also receive an email from Triathlon Scotland with joining instructions that contain a web-link that you click, which will allow you to enter the virtual classroom and enjoy the course.
To complete the workshop you will need access to a computer (desktop/laptop) or a tablet and a good internet connection; some smartphones can also connect.
On completion of the course, you will need to complete a survey on Brightspace to unlock your Adult Wellbeing & Protection in Sport certificate.
