Dunfermline City Auld Toun 10K
Dunfermline City Auld Toun 10K is a community event organised by Dunfermline City Running Festival (DCRF) community group. The event will see runners traverse across a versatile route through Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline's scenic Heritage Quarter, and Dunfermline Public Park. The event will start in Pittencrieff Park, beside the Peacock Rooms, and finish at St. Catherine’s Wynd, beside Dunfermline's spectacular Abbey.
DCRF is registering as a charity and encourages runners to raise money for nominated local charities (see social media for details). Surplus proceeds from this year's event will go towards staging an expanded Running Festival in 2027.
ENTRIES
The event will be limited to 500 entries. The entry fee is £25.00. NO entries will be accepted on the day due to health & safety/logistic reasons. Please note that entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferable. Entrants should be aged 16 and over on the day.

The 10K event will take place on Sunday 7th June 2026 at 10am.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be open between 8:30am – 09:45am and will be in the Glen Pavillion: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zYjRKSixpMXT1cKd9. At registration, you will be provided with your chipped bib number to record your event time – bib is required to be visible at all times to the front, no objects should obstruct the bib, including vests. Please detail emergency contact details and health information on the back of your event bib.
Event registration can be used for kit storage - however, Dunfermline City Running Festival will not take liability for lost kit. Kit is left at the registration desk at the participant's risk.
PARKING
There are various parking options in Dunfermline City including Pittencrieff Car Park, Leys Park Road Car Park, and Kingsgate Shopping Centre Car Park.
TOILETS
There are toilets in the registration building and other nearby public toilets. Moreover, there are toilets on the event course at Viewfield Terrace Car Park (next to water station).
THE ROUTE
The Auld Toun 10K route include sections in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline City Centre roads, Dunfermline Public Park, and finishes at the archway beside Dunfermline Abbey.
FIRST AID/SAFETY
Events like this can be strenuous and the organisers cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. By entering this event, you are confirming you understand that participation at this event is at your own risk. First Aid teams will be present on event day and deployable to any medical issues encountered. Anyone withdrawing during the event should report to the nearest marshal.
Headphones: due to safety reasons, only bone conducting headphones are allowed.
EMERGENCY CONTACTS/MEDICAL INFORMATION
Please ensure you write your emergency contact details on the reverse of your event number. Please also include any medical information which may assist the first aid team in the event of injury or illness.
DISTANCE MARKERS
Markers will be in placed at km intervals.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be a water station on the route at Viewfield Terrace Car Park. Refreshments will be available at the finish, for participants only.
EVENT PRIZES
There will be prizes for the following categories: M/F 1st, 2nd and 3rd. M/F 1st in V40, V50, V60, and V70+.
All participants will receive a finisher bag with an assortment of goodies, including a bespoke finisher’s medal.
RESULTS
The event will be chip timed, and full event results will be provided by our timing partner: Eventful.
