Welcome to the Auchterarder Running Festival 2021 organised by Five Star Active (

It’s the best news you’ll read today, yes we’re bringing the ARF party back and this year you can even come and join us if COVID behaves!

We’re calling 2021 our 'bridge year' (before welcoming everyone back to race in 2022) This year we’re staging a hybrid event offering flexibility and safety for our all runners BUT with the feel and buzz of a real event.  Let us explain how it will work.

First of all, we absolutely promise to make this event a cracker – we cannot wait to welcome you back to Auchterarder.  The town promises to be buzzing for the duration of ARF, we’re even involving our High Street shops to help us ensure you have the best time ever here in the Lang Toon!

So, time to buckle up for the best 10k and Half Marathon in town!! We double dare you! ( Yup we also have a half marathon and a double dare challenge - thats doing the 10K and the Half Marathon over the race date period - all on entry central and live now).

Taking place between Friday 10th September and Sunday 26th September 2021, ARF 10K will see you walk, jog or run this 10K (6.2miles) distance at a time that suits you within the race window (10th - 26th Sept).  You’ll have two options for completing this race -

1.  Visit Auchterarder, follow our well mapped routes and run your races

2.   Stay local and run your races in your local area

Do not worry - you don’t need to choose which option you elect until the actual race window starts.  Separate leader boards will be created for each option so those who want to "race" can!

As part of the entry fee all participants will be able to choose to either -

*  Receive a bespoke 10K specific medal as well as ARF 2021 branded race merchandise

OR (and new for 2021!!)

* elect to not receive a medal and race merch and instead make a donation to an ARF Dedicated Woodland Project.  We’re working with the Woodland Trust to create dedicated ARF sponsored woodland.  Donations for this will help us plant tree’s in Perthshire.  This new option has been created after receiving feedback from our runners, plus we think it’s a great new alternative.

Entrants can upload their time once they’ve ran their distance and a leaderboard will be kept refreshed in real time for the full race window! Something for the more competitive amongst us!! We’ll have overall prizes as well as age category prizes.

As you’d expect we want to make this the BEST experience possible for everyone taking part. It’s our goal to make it as memorable and interactive experience as we can. We’ve many surprises planned to ensure Auchterarder Running Festival 2021 is one to remember.  Follow our social media channels to keep fully up to date on all this exciting news. and

So whether you walk or run the distance get involved in ARF 10K 2021!! You won’t regret it!

Please note – Runners must be age 16 or above on the day of the race.   Before entering, please note the race entry terms and conditions.

Entry Fee – £16 (plus entry central administration fees).  Online entry only.  Sorry but no refunds, transfers or deferrals under any circumstances.

Race Window – You’ll have from 12am on Friday 10th September 2021 until 7pm on Sunday 26th September to run, walk or jog your 10K.  You’ll be able to print your race bib by going to our website.  Full details of how to do this will be emailed to you prior to the event. The official route in Auchterarder will be shared with you along with direction guides prior to the event window.

Race Rules - All current Government guidance regarding COVID-19 must be followed. Any changes to these guidelines before the event should be adhered to.

If you are running in your local area......All runs/walks should start and finish at around the same point.  We suggest a lapped or an out and back route.  There should be no net loss in elevation (that means not running down a hill!).

Entrants are only allowed to submit 1 attempt on the website.  Your elapsed time will be used rather than your moving time.

Once completed input your time along with your evidence (a link to Strava or Garmin is a popular way of doing this) to our timing website and you’ll be added to our live race leader board! (We’ll send you instructions on how to do this after you sign up)

Race Results -   During the ARF race window there will be a live leader board.  Official race certificates will be able to be downloaded and printed from the website after 7pm on Sunday 26th September.  Please note final race results for the whole event will be available from 8pm on Sunday 26th September.

Prize Giving – Prize giving will commence 8pm on Sunday 26th September 2021 via facebook live.
