Kirkintilloch Olympians Antonine Trail Race

Welcome to the inaugural KO Antonine Trail Race!

We have the blessing of the previous Antonine Trail Race organisers to re-establish the race, with the twist of starting and finishing in Twechar. We have stayed true to the majority of the original ATRX 10k course, which means you can expect lots of ups and downs!

The race starts on Colliery Green, Twechar, and will be clearly marked. It leads you up Barrhill towards a section of the Antonine fort before crossing over into Croy. From there you'll head up Mount Cookie and Croy hill, with amazing views across the Kilsyth hills, before making your way down a sharp descent to the road crossing and back to Twechar via the trails through Creekie wood.

Registration:  number pick up (from 0800) will take place in Twechar Outdoor Pursuits Centre, 15 Canal Row, Main Street, Twechar G65 9DT. There are toilets, showers and changing areas available and space where belongings can be left (at your own risk).  The race is chip timed and chips can be picked up alongside race numbers.

Entry Fees: SAL Registered £15, Others £18. Please note that there is NO entry on the day.

Race limited to 150 runners

Prizes (cash/vouchers) will be awarded for first, second and third male and female, as well as age group prizes and these will be sent by post after the event.

Results will be lodged on the club website, race Facebook page and on the SAL/Power of 10 websites.

The race is a SA Licenced event held under UKA rules. 

Photographs: A photographer will be present on the course to capture your morning. By taking part, consent is assumed and photographs will shared via social media.
