Organiser's Description
The Alford Santa Run is organised by Athletics Trust Scotland as part of the Alford Christmas Festival, taking place on Sunday 27th November at the Grampian Transport Museum race track in Alford.
For the second year, we are delighted to orgnising this event and all the proceeds raised will go directly towards our Transforming Lives Project.
The races will feature an Elf Mile at 11am, consisting of 4 laps of the motor race track and also a Santa Run 5k at 11.30am which will head out into the grounds of Haughton Park before finishing with a victory lap of the motor race track!
The Alford Santa Run truly is a family event - children of all ages are welcome and there will be lots to do at the Alford Christmas Festival. For more information please click here
As part of your entry fee, you will receive a Santa Suit with hat, a Christmas medal, the complete support of our experienced events team and a goody bag.
The Alford Santa Run has the following timings:
- 11.00am: Elf Mile Dash
- 11.30am: Santa 5km
The entry fees are:
- 5km Santa Run - £16 for Adults & £9 for Children (under 13’s) (all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult)
- Elf Mile Dash - £9 for everyone (all under 8's must be accompanied by an adult)
Santa Run Organiser and Fundraiser Kyle Greig said “The funds raised from the event will go towards our Transforming Lives project that aims to increase the diversity and inclusion of athletics and running by supporting people with a disability, those who are in poverty and ethnically and culturally diverse communities. We are super excited to be able to raise funds for those in need in the Aberdeenshire area."
For those who aren't looking to enter but would like to be involved, there are volunteering opportunities here. There are also sponsorship opportunities to help contribute to the costs of the Santa Suits and Medals so that all the funds raised can go directly to the athletes who need it most. Santa Run 5km: (Adult)
This mutli terrain Santa Run 5k at 11.30am which will head out into the beautiful grounds of Haughton Park before finishing with a victory lap of the motor race track!

The elf mile will take place at 11.00am and will consist of 4 laps of the motor racing track! This is open to all abilities.
