Festival Overview
The Alford Bull Running Festival supported by Gary Moyse at RE/MAX Scotland has grown from the beloved Mini Bull Run into a full day of races for all ages.

By taking part, you'll be helping leave a lasting legacy for local runners. Any profit from the event will be donated to Alford Bull Running Club to fund permanent floodlighting at the Grampian Transport Museum, improving safety and enabling greater participation throughout the winter months.

• Mini Bull Run
  Five age-graded fun runs (300 m → 1.2 km) for preschoolers through 12-year-olds 
• Relay Run
  Teams of one adult + one child (≤ 12 years) over a 600 m loop
• 5km Trail Race
  Mixed-terrain course for runners aged 13 and above

Mini Bull Runs & Relay

• Location: Haughton House, Alford
• Distances: Please see list above for childs age group (Age on Race Day)
• Format: Sequential runs—one after another

5km Trail Race

• Start/Finish: Haughton House, Alford
• Course: Park trails + quiet country roads (uneven ground, tree-roots)
• Support: Fully signposted & marshalled

10km Road Race

• Start: Haughton House (AB33 8NA)
• Finish: Flower Meadow, Haughton Park
• Course: Certified 10km on quiet country roads
• Support: Marshals, signage & water stations en route

Entries & Fees

• Includes: Medal & goody-bag (one per child in relay teams)
• Registration: Online only at entrycentral.com/alfordbullrunningfestival 
• Closes: Wednesday 22/08/2026 at 23:59
• No on-the-day entries & no refunds

Facilities & Logistics

• Parking: Haughton Park & Alford Village car parks
• Toilets: At both Haughton Park car parks (none on course)
• Refreshments: Home-bakes & drinks from 09:15 at registration
• Photography: Opt-out available at registration

Health & Safety

• Trail Warning: Uneven surfaces - run at your own risk
• Marshals: Please follow all instructions; routes fully signposted
• No Dogs: Strictly no dogs on any course
