Welcome to the very first running of the “Wild Wolf of Radnor” trail race in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) in Hereford.
This 10-mile race, held in the majestic Radnor forest in Mid Wales (where - according to local legend - the last wolf of Wales was shot) takes in some of the most beautiful scenery this area has to offer. You will experience different terrains – from forestry roads and open moorland to muddy, tree covered single track.
Sunday, 17th August 2025. Start at 11am.
The race route starts off gently, downhill, before you hit the first hill. Once the first climb has been conquered, take in the views of the Brecon Beacons to the South, Cadair Idris to the Northwest and the Long Mynd to the Northeast. The route takes you up to Black Mixen at 2130ft above sea level, before winding its way back down through the forest. One more climb sets you up, before the final- mile long- fast descent to the finish line.
