Spirit of Monmouth – Kymin Dash Event Information

Event: Spirit of Monmouth -  Kymin Dash
Date: Sunday 12th April
Start time: 11:00am
Organiser: Spirit of Monmouth Running Club

Race HQ: Haberdashers School Sports Complex, Hadnock Road, Monmouth, NP25 3NG

Number and Chip Collection: will be open from 9.30am and will close at 10.45am prompt. Numbers not collected in this time may not be accessible. Nothing will be sent out in advance of the race. 

Chip Timing: The race is run with reusable chips; these are worn on your ankle and will be handed out with your number. Chips and ankle bracelets will be collected at the end, failure to do so may occur and additional charge. 

Bag Drop: Bags can be left in the school hall at the designated location however these are left strictly at your own risk.

Parking: There is limited parking at the Sports Centre, please car share where possible. 

Refreshments: Tea, Coffee, Cakes etc will be available on site for you to purchase. 

Prizes: Will be awarded after the event in the following categories; King of the Hill, Queen of the Hill, 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed Male and Female and Age Category Prizes in 10 year bands. There will also be Male and Female Team Prizes - Four to a team.

By completing an entry via Ready Set Go you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Entry Fees

• Early Bird pricing is available until 14th January.

• After this date, full price entry fees apply:

• Affiliated runners: £18

• Non-affiliated runners: £20

• On the day entries are cash only £25

2. Refunds, Deferrals and Transfers

• Entries are strictly non-refundable 

• Transfers to another runner are permitted but will incur an administration fee payable through Ready Set Go.

• No transfers will be accepted after 31st March.

• Deferrals to future years are not offered.

All transfer rules must be completed through the official Ready Set Go transfer process. Transfers attempted outside the system are not permitted and may result in disqualification.

3. Participation & Safety

• By entering, you confirm that you are fit, healthy, and capable of completing the Kymin Dash.

• You agree to follow all instructions from race officials, marshals, and emergency services.

• The Organiser may refuse entry or withdraw a participant for safety reasons at any time.

4. Event Changes & Cancellation

• The Organiser reserves the right to alter the course, start time, or event format if necessary for safety or operational reasons.

• If the event must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control (such as severe weather, emergencies, or force majeure), no refunds will be issued.

• Reasonable efforts will be made to inform participants of any changes as early as possible.

5. Liability

• Participants take part at their own risk.

• The organiser shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or in connection with the event, except to the extent that such liability arises from the organisers negligence or cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

6. Data Protection & Results

• Personal information provided during entry will be used for event administration and timing.

• Participant names, club details, categories, and finish times may be published publicly in start lists and results.

• Data will be handled in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.

7. Photography & Media

• The Organiser and authorised partners may take photographs or video during the event.

• By entering, you consent to your image being used for event promotion and publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must inform the Organiser in advance.

8. Code of Conduct & Disqualification

The Organiser may disqualify any participant who:

• provides false details during entry

• transfers their entry without permission

• behaves dangerously, abusively, or in a manner that risks safety

• disregards marshal instructions

No refunds are given in cases of disqualification.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled under this jurisdiction.
