Organiser's Description

On The Day Entry

As is the tradition with the Cambus Quarter race on the day entries will be accepted. The on the day entry fee is £20 full price discounted to £18 for Scottish Athletics affiliates. If you wish to take up this option please (i) arrive at registration in good time, (ii) try to bring the exact money for the fee to be paid, and (iii) if you have Scottish Athletic affiliation (SAA) and wish to pay the reduced fee then please bring proof of your current (SAA) membership and your affiliation number.

Course

The race is run over a 6.5 mile mixed terrain course. The route is NOT closed to traffic during the race but marshals will be at any significant road crossings and the railway level crossing. You must comply with all instructions from marshals or you risk being disqualified.

The race starts in Cambus village and does an anti-clockwise loop along the trail banks of the river forth around farmland before returning to the start on tarmac path where you will again pass through the village. There will be a water station with biodegradable cups available at this point. The route continues on a clockwise loop past Cambus Pools Nature Reserve, through Blackgrange, past Diageo and across the level crossing before heading back to the finish line along the old A907 and Cambus Cycle Path. The route is flat and a mixture of road and trail (road shoes would probably be best suited unless it's been really wet).

Please remember the route is not closed to the public and we do not have right of way, so please be courteous and sensible when passing members of the public and DO NOT drop any litter on the route.

Rules and permits

The event is held Under UK Athletics Rules and scottishathletics Licence.

Strictly NO DOGS are allowed in the race, without exception.

Entry and registration

Entrants must complete registration and collect race numbers by 9.45am on the morning of the race. The race has a limit of 200 runners.  There are limited changing facilities so we suggest you come "ready to run".  There are no showers.  If the race must be postponed for circumstances outside our control we will try to hold the race on another date.  No refunds will be given if you pre-enter but can't run on race day.  If that happens, you may nominate another runner and we will make a substitution free of charge.

Runners must be at least 16 years of age (on race day) and must not run unless medically fit to do so. Entry is at competitor’s own risk and participants accept that no person(s) or organisation(s) will be held responsible for any accident, injury, or loss to a competitor or to their property, prior to, during, or after the event. The organisers reserve the right to alter the arrangements and conditions should circumstances require. Competitors agree that results with names, times and positions can be published. Competitors consent to any official event photographers taking photographs, and the publication of those photographs for promotional uses. (We do not guarantee an official event photographer will be at the event)
