THAXTED TRAIL MARATHON & HALF MARATHON

Minimum age 18 for marathon/ 17 for half marathon

When: Sunday 18 September 2025

Where: Thaxted Church Hall, Margaret Street, Thaxted, CM6 2QN

Distances: Marathon and Half-marathon

Start times: 9:00am-9:50am (marathon) and 10:00am-10:50am (half-marathon)

Finish time: You must be back before 3:50pm. We only have the hall until 4pm

Price: £ 10.00 affiliated (£ 12.00 unaffiliated). Both distances are the same price. (+50p booking fee)

These are self navigation trail races using a written route description, which will be issued to you on the day. There are no markings or marshals. No GPX. This is not a mass start event. You will be timed out and back in at the finish.

To enable friends to run together it is possible to book more than once in your name. If you do enter more than once for others we will require all their details (emergency contact, mobile phone no of phone to be carried on the day, email address and confirmation that they agree to the same terms and conditions as the person who entered them) before the closing date or they will not be allowed to participate. There will be no refunds for whatever reason.  If the race is cancelled we thank you for donating your entry fee to our charity.

Cup-free event: All participants will be given a reusable trail runner’s drinks cup. No plastic cups are provided at the start, finish or at the drinks stops.

Post-race refreshments include Ele’s & Carol’s award-winning homemade cakes, plus soup, scones, and hot drinks. If that is not incentive enough to enter, then we don’t know what is.
