Organiser's Description

Welcome to the SURLY100, a 3 day Bikepacking event based at Buckshead Farm in the heart of the Cotswolds.

We are super excited to bring you the 2025 SURLY100 bikepacking event, run over 3 days. You’ll get the chance to enjoy the fantastic Cotswolds and it’s many fantastic landscape and views. With fresh routes for 2025, great food, a bar and more, you’ll really get enjoy this great annual event.

As mentioned, the event is now over 3 days, Friday, Saturday ride days with Sunday being a day to chat, chill and checkout the event sponsors goodies.

The campsite will have showers and more toilets this year, food will again be offered by us but will be charged for this time around. It means you get to pay for what your actually want food wise. A bar will hopefully be on hand this time around also.

  • Halfway Campsite: To be confirmed.

  • The Routes: 100 miles, 50 per day. For 2025 there is a special feature on the second day. “The Dunk”! This was the late, Duncan Kennedy’s idea for the 2025 event, Duncan passed away in July 2024. It seems only fitting to name this after him. Day 1 route is tougher than day 2, details and route will be emailed to you a week prior to the start date.

  • Alternative route: If you feel you've had enough after the first day, you can return too the start finish and sit out the rest of the weekend and enjoy a beer, whilst others suffer, or not as ther case might be.

KIT list:

  • A Bike: If your bike is suitable for riding offroad over rough terrain and can carry everything you need for the weekend then that’s the bike for this event. And yes a Gravel bike will be fine if you are used to rough terrain. (SORRY. NO E-BIKES) Ebikes really complicate things with charging batteries, bike specification (ie not homemade) It just adds complications, staff, workload and insurance costs.

  • Proper outdoor clothing to cope with all manner of conditions, last year we had rain one day, blazing sun the next.

  • Snacks for the journey.

  • Be respectful to your fellow riders and members of the public. The second day includes riding on a two path, please be courteous.

  • Do not litter, drop gel rappers or anything else. Leave no trace, even when riding.

  • Wear a proper cycle helmet.

  • You must have working lights on your bike. Yes it’s summer but even on a major busy road you should at least have your rear light on.

  • You must contact us if you wish to withdraw from the event. We do not want to be hunting for you for days. Our contact details will be supplied at sign on.

  • If you are injured your first contact should be the suitable medical service, not us. It just slows things up. This also applies should you find somebody in need of assistance.
