THE SORBROOK TOUGH 10K ROAD RACE

ORGANISED BY GRIFFITHSTOWN HARRIERS

 Wednesday July 15th 2026 at 7PM.   

The Sorbrook Tough 10K is a challenging and scenic road race that pushes participants to their limits. This demanding event features The Darren and the steep Sluvad Road climbs, known for their testing elevation. Set against a backdrop of Llandegfedd Lake , the course winds through rolling hills, offering both stunning views and a true test of endurance. Whether you're an experienced runner or looking for a race that will truly challenge you, the Sorbrook Tough 10K promises a memorable and rewarding experience for all who dare to take it on.

We look forward to an unforgettable event that celebrates the spirit of competition, community, and the love of running.

ENTRY FEES

£15 for affiliated club members.

£17 for non-affiliated club members.

Runners must be 16+ day of the race.

CAR PARKING 

There is parking available at the Gwent Crematorium (TBC).

REGISTRATION & BIB COLLECTION

TBC - HQ IS LOCATED AT THE GWENT CREMATORIUM

Open at 5 PM - 6.30PM for on the day entries and number collection.

RACE START:  Tre-Herbert Rd, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ at 7 pm.

There is a bag drop facility available at HQ but all items will be left at your own risk.

Headphones and in-ear headphone are prohibited other than bone conducting headphones are permitted.  Runner found using head or in-ear devices may be asked to withdraw from the race.

PRIZES

A Sorbrook Slog & Tough 10k drawstring bag filled with goodies for all finishers at the finish.

TBC - Presentation will be done at the Olive Tree when all categories have been placed.

There will be a trophy for 'King' and 'Queen' Of The Darran (first to the top) as well as the following categories (Only one prize per person):

• 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male and Female
• 1st 40+ Male and Female
• 1st 50+ Male and Female
• 1st 60+ Male and Female
• 1st 70+ Male and Female

We also have Megan Holly Photograpghy out on the course who will be capturing your smiles and all images will be free to use with a credit.
