Shapinsay 10K Event

Saturday 18th April 2026 - 1.00pm

Starting point and registration:  Shapinsay Community School, Shapinsay, Orkney KW17 2DY

Entry cost: 

£10 Standard entry / £8 with SA membership

The Shapinsay 10K will be run over a route made up of local roads.

The Shapinsay 10K Event is run in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the sport's governing body - Scottish Athletics Federation. SAF has issued the Race Organisers with a permit to hold the race which under the Terms and Conditions stipulate that:

• Runners taking part in the event must be over 15 years old on the day.
• The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
• Running with buggies or pets is not permitted. 
• It is essential that the Race Organisers abide by these age requirements in order that the appropriate insurances are not compromised.

If for any reason you are unable to run please contact the Race Organiser through the email address below.  No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled.
