Welcome to The Shetland Sprint Triathlon 2024

This year Shetland Triathlon Club will host the Shetland Sprint Triathlon at the West Mainland Mainland Pool.

The event will be held at West Mainland Leisure Centre - the 750m swim will be a pool based swim in a 16m pool, the 20km cycle will take you out from the pool facility and on to a westbound route, heading towards the Bixter Junction and on towards the Papa Stour Ferry, where you will turn for the cycle back to Aith, concluding with a 5km runThat will take you out the Vemetary Road in an 'out-and-back' route, before making your way back to the Leisure Centre for the finish. 

Competitors must be 15 or over.

Parental content is need for competitors aged 15-17yrs.

Individual entry fees are £15 for Triathlon Scotland members and STC members and £20 for non members. 

Team entry is £20 for members and £25 for non members.

Registration: Individuals should register from 8:30am at the Aith Leisure centre to collect race number and bike rack slots. To help with our organising, please tell us how long you expect to take for your 750m swim.

The Race: The race brief will be at 9:20am which all competitors must attend. 

The race will then start at 9:30am
