Welcome to The Shetland Sprint Triathlon 2023

This year Shetland Triathlon Club will host the Shetland Sprint Triathlon at the North Mainland Mainland Pool.

The event will be held at North Mainland Leisure Centre - the 750m swim will be a pool based swim in a 16m pool, the 20km cycle will take you out from the pool facility and into a northbound route, heading past Mavis Grind and into Northmaven with a turn just past the Sullom Junction, where you will cycle back to Brae and the way you came out, and finally the 5km run will be an northerly run out towards voxter house before returning to the swimming pool. 

Competitors must be 15 or over.

Parental content is need for competitors aged 15-17yrs.

Individual entry fees are £15 for Triathlon Scotland members and STC members and £20 for non members. 

Team entry is £20 for members and £25 for non members.

Registration: Individuals should register from 8:30am at  Leisure centre to collect race number and bike rack slots. To help with our organising, please tell us how long you expect to take for your 750m swim.

The Race: The race brief will be at 9:20am which all competitors must attend. 

The race will then start at 9:30am
