Welcome to The Shetland Sprint Triathlon 2025

 This year Shetland Triathlon Club will host the Shetland Sprint Triathlon at the West Mainland Mainland Pool.

 The event will be held at West Mainland Leisure Centre - the 750m swim will be a pool based swim in a 16m pool, the 20km cycle will take you out from the pool facility and on to a westbound route, heading towards the Bixter Junction and on towards the Papa Stour Ferry, where you will turn for the cycle back to Aith, concluding with a 5km run made up of 6 short loops round the Aith Leisure centre grounds, finishing at the Leisure Centre.

Competitors must be 15 or over on 31st December 2025.

Parental content is need for competitors aged 15-17yrs.

Individual entry fees are £15 for STC members and £20 for non members.  

Team entry is £20 for STC members and £25 for non members.

Competitors who are not a member of one of the Home Nations Triathlon Federations will need to purchase a race pass 

Registration: Individuals should register from 9:00am at the Aith Leisure centre to collect race number and bike rack slots. If you're able to, please tell us how long you expect to take for your 750m swim.  This information is optional, but could be useful to us for organising heats.

The Race: The race brief will be at 9:45am which all competitors must attend. 

The race will then start at 10:00am
