Ross on Wye Riverbank Run 10K, 5k & Fun Run. 


Join us on Sunday 6th September 2026 for the ever popular Ross Riverbank Festival of running. Chip timed races on a flat course hugging the banks of the River Wye. 

Race HQ is near the start line at the Rowing Club. 

Race information;

Race Date: Sunday 6th September 2026

Race HQ: Rowing Club, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7DF 

Entries: 

Fun Run: Under 11's must be accompanied by an adult. This event will not be chip timed. £4 per person, sign up in advance or cash only payable on the day. 

5k: Race Limit 300. Minimum age 11 on day of event. This event will be chip timed. Entry Fees: £17.00 – Affiliated / £19.00 – Unattached.  Sign ups online via Entry Central.

10k: Race Limit 300. Minimum age 15 on day of event. This event will be chip timed. Entry Fees: £22.00 – Affiliated / £24.00 – Unattached. Sign ups on line via Entry Central. 

ALL ENTRANTS MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE, NO ON THE DAY SIGN UPS PERMITTED.

Start Times:

 08:45am Fun Run (approx 500m) 

 09.00am 10k  - 09.15am 10k Canicross

 09.30am 5k - 9.45am 5k Canicross

Canicross 5k and 10k will start 15 minutes after the start of the event, anyone wishing to participate with their dog MUST make themselves known on bib collection and must run with a canicross harness. Strictly no dogs allowed in the mass starts for both events.

Fun Run – The route will be approximately 500m. Under 11's must be accompanied by an adult. This event will not be chip timed. £4 per person, sign up and cash or card payable on the day. All finishers will receive a medal.

 

Bag Drop: There is no bag drop at the event, all belongings are left at your own risk

First Aid: Full medical event cover will be in place.

Parking: There is some parking available at the Rowing Club which will follow a one-way system entering via the Rowing Club, please ensure you always follow the guidance of marshals. Alternatively, there is ample parking around the town, where it’s a short walk to the start line. 

Facilities: Toilets available on site at the Rowing Club. 

Refreshments: There will be a water station located out on the course that will be passed on both the 5K and 10K and water available at the finish area. 

Canicross - Water will be available at the end for dogs, please ensure you bring your own poo bags and dispose of any waste appropriately. 

Distance/Terrain: All routes are classed as Multi-Terrain, off road, taking in parts of the river path, so expect grass/mud depending on the weather.

Medals: Every finisher will receive a finishers medal for the 5k, 10k and Family Fun Run. 

Prizes: For the 5k Male and Female Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed will be presented shortly after the race.

For the 10k Male and Female Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed will be presented shortly after the race. along with 1st Placed Age Category Prizes in 5 Year Age Bands starting from U20s PLUS Male and Female First Team prize (3 to a team). 

Canicross prizes will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers in each event. 

Results: Full results will be available post-race at www.readysetgotiming.co.uk and posted to our social media accounts. All pictures will be available to view on Instagram. 

Terms And Conditions

By signing up each individual agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1.       As an England Athletics affiliated organiser (7693574) this event is to be held under UK Athletics rules with a full race license. The individual agrees to abide by the rules of the event and that the officials' decision is final.

2.       Strictly NO HEADPHONES to be worn throughout the race other than bone conducting headphones. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

3.       The provided number race bibs will be worn by all competitors, always ensuring visible. Race numbers must not be cut or folded.

4.       The individual confirms that they have no medical disability that would endanger themselves or others by taking part (and will not run if unfit to do so on the day).

5.       The individual understands that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or illness howsoever caused as a result of entering the race.  The individual agrees that during the race they will obey marshals' instructions. No dogs will be allowed on the course.

6.       If for any reason beyond the control of the organisers the race has to be cancelled on the day (Adverse weather, “Act of god”, Flooding, Accidents, Incidents, COVID-19 restrictions etc) the organisers will do everything possible to reschedule the race.

7.       Entries cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled. At the organisers discretion you may be able to transfer to the following year. Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the Event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. Liability for the cancellation or rescheduling of an Event will be limited to the refund as set out in these terms and conditions. We will not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence or other breach of statutory duty

8.       Transfers - Race place transfers are only available until 31st August 2026 and must be requested via Entry Central’s “Change Person Request”

9.       All entrants shall be deemed to have made themself familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the [date of entry], whether the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK. For added clarification, the date of entry is the date of the event

10.   The Organiser reserves the right to alter the course, start time, or event format if necessary for safety or operational reasons. Reasonable effort will be made to inform competitors of any changes as soon as possible.

11.   Personal information provided during entry will be used for event administration and timing. Participant names, club details, categories, and finish times may be published publicly in start lists and results. Data will be handled in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.

12.   By entering, you consent to your image being used for event promotion and publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must inform the Organiser in advance. The organiser and event partners may take photos and videos during the event.
