Who can take part?

Anyone who is aged 18 and over! Every year, we welcome runners from many other FrontRunner clubs, from other local running clubs, and anyone who just wants to take part in the best race in Glasgow (we’re biased!). You can enter as male, female, or non-binary. Everyone is welcome!

🏳️‍⚧️ Transgender runners 🏳️‍⚧️

You are welcome to run in the gender category with which you identify - as an independent race, there are no restrictive athletic rules. If you would like more information on this, please email us using the link on the right panel.

What will I get with my entry?

🏁 An officially-measured, insured 5-mile race (course map)

⏱️ Electronic chip timing with online results

🤸‍♂️ A pre-race warm-up, featuring Glasgow’s very own Miss Bella Houston

🎒 A bag drop where you can leave a single bag

🥁 A bag-piper to walk you to the start, and an on-course band to spur you on!

👕 A finishers OUTrun t-shirt! (only guaranteed if you enter by the t-shirt deadline!)

🍌 A selection of post-race goodies, including water and a banana!

🎂 A charity cake sale tent and a coffee van

🥇 A prize ceremony to celebrate our fastest finishers (list of prizes)

👍 A BSL interpreter on stage during all briefings/warmup/prize ceremony

🥰 The most fun you’ll have at a race!!!

Charity and bake sale

Every year we are proud that OUTrun supports a local LGBTQIA+ charity - and this year we will be supporting Time for Inclusive Education (TIE), Scotland’s LGBT Inclusive Education charity.

They work with schools across the country to embed LGBT themes (such as history, rights, and equalities) into ordinary teaching and learning. This approach became a national expectation for schools in 2021 and helps to tackle the stereotypes, prejudice, and bullying that young people who are LGBT, or have LGBT family members, can often experience.

There are three ways we’d be very grateful for your support:

🧁 Buy something delicious from our post-race bake sale, where 100% of donations go to our charity partner. We accept cash or card!

👩‍🍳 Supply a cake or other goodie for the bake sale - we need cakes to sell!

💰 You can add a donation to your race entry, 100% of which goes to our charity partner.

Refunds/deferments

There will be no refunds or deferrals on entries once submitted.
