The Nairn Highland Games Half Marathon

Saturday 16th August 2025- Race Start 12:30 pm

 The Nairn Highland Games Half Marathon is organised by Nairn Road Runners Sponsored by Wright Johnston & Mackenzie  and is a part of the Nairn Highland Games, starting and finishing within the main games arena, where runners may finish to the sound of the massed pipes and drums.

 The route is particularly scenic, running alongside beach, harbour and out into open countryside, before returning to the main games arena this is a fast flat course.

There are 4 water stops on the course. 

This year we will also have ACTIVE ROOT energy drink available at the waterstations

Starting point: The Links, Nairn

Registration: 10:45 am to 12:00pm at the Registration Tent near the Cricket Pavilion, The Links, Nairn. (Registration will close promptly at 12:00 pm)

Online entry closes at midnight 14th August 2025  @ £17.00 or on the day entry £20.00 at the Registration Tent near the Links Cricket Pavilion. This event Sold out last year.

No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled.

A race time limit of 2:30 hours, after which we will have to withdraw course support services - this time limit will only be changed due to weather conditions. If there will be any change to the time limit it will be announced at the start. Over ear and in ear Headphones are not permitted under Scottish Athletic rules and any runner found with these will be removed from the race. Bone conduction headphones may be used at your own risk. You MUST be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear instructions from Marshalls or emergency crew.

Changing facilities are available within the games changing tents, we are sorry but we do not have a secure area for your property while race takes place. You can leave possessions in the changing tents at your own risk. 

We do regret that showering facilities are unavailable, the beach, however, is only stone's throw away !!!
