A trail event to raise funds for the Thaxted Windmill restoration

Two route options with distances of 5 miles (8k) or 8.25 miles(13k)

Minimum age 17 years for 8.25 Miles (13k), 16 Years for 5 Miles (8k)

Sunday 10th May 2026.

Starts between 10.00am and 10.45 for on line entries.  Entries on the day from 10.45 to 11.00

Runners and walkers welcome.

This is a self navigation trail race using a written route description, which will be issued to you on the day. There are no markings or marshals. No GPX. This is not a mass start event. You will be timed out and back in at the finish. 

Race HQ will be located in Thaxted Church Hall, Margaret Street, Thaxted CM6 2QN.

£12.00 Affiliated  £14 Unaffiliated entry fees (plus booking fee of 50p if online). Entries in advance or on the day

Entry fee includes voucher for tea/coffee and cake on the day from The Giddy Up Tea Bar.

100% of profits from the Miles for the Mill Trail will be used to support ongoing restoration of Thaxted Windmill.

To enable friends to run together it is possible to book more than once in your name. If you do enter more than once for others we will require all their details (emergency contact, mobile phone number of phone to be carried on the day, email address and confirmation that they agree to the same terms and conditions as the person who entered them) before the closing date or they will not be allowed to participate.

There will be no refunds or transfers for whatever reason.
