For competitor, spectator and marshal safety reasons please follow signage and marshalling instructions.

The course is a 10 miles ish trail and country lane race covering spectacular Worcestershire countryside. Starting from within the grounds of The Chantry School, the course follows a route that includes approximately 8 miles trail and 2 mile open public country highway. The trail sections include woodland, ascents and descents of Rodge Hill and a section of the famous Worcestershire Way. The road sections follow mainly very quiet single track lane, though will include twice crossing a "B" road. Signage and marshals will be in place, though vigilance and caution is required.

Facilities : Toilets will be provided at the start and finish area. There won't be changing rooms or showers at race HQ so please come prepared.

Sustenance There will be a water station approximately halfway along the route. Limited disposable cups will be provided, though to minimise wastage please consider bringing your own cups to refill. Cake and fruit will be offered at the finish line to refuel!

Personal health : Sport has many well publicised physical and mental health benefits though there are risks which should considered before entering into such activity. The Martley Madness is designed to be challenging, so it definitely should be considered to be a strenuous physical activity. For your own safety please only take part if you are fit enough to cope. If you have any concerns then please consult professional medical advice before taking part.

The course has steep ascents that will certainly get your heart and lungs working hard and steep descents that will require good coordination and footwear.

The event is for humans only, so sorry no four legged friends. Though we might make an exception for hamsters!

Please feel welcome to join the Martley Madness Facebook group which will provide you with race preparation updates and a chance to meet online some of your fellow Martley Madness Racers. The group can be found on Facebook by searching "Martley Madness".

In keeping with our club ethos the Worcestershire Trailblazers will endeavour to make the Martley Madness trail Race an environmentally friendly event. We propose to achieve this through our low carbon footprint medal and award design, our non plastic waste water stop, encouraging car sharing and paper free advertising.

The Worcestershire Trailblazers cherish the fantastic trail running opportunities Worcestershire has to offer and would love to share this passion with you through our own race.
