Welcome to the Manchester Triathlon Club Junior Triathlon 2026

The event will take place at Hough End Leisure Centre in Manchester at 1pm on Monday 31st August. The event will start with the Youths first and working backwards. Your estimated start time will be provided prior to the event. 

The event consists of the following events:

The swim will take place in the 6 lane pool at the leisure centre, before a short transition out to the fields where the bike and run course will be done as laps around the field. The bike and run courses are flat and will be done on the grass. Subject to any bad weather it should be suitable for all bikes. 

On the entry form, you will be asked to provide an estimated swim time. It is not unusual for people competing in a pool-based triathlon for the first time to "guess" their swim time. Please be reassured, you can change your estimated swim time up until June 26th via your entrycentral user account. Your enjoyment, and that of your fellow competitors is greatly enhanced if you are in the correct swim heat.

Please select the race category being entered: Female category or Open category.

Only people who are female sex at birth are eligible to compete in the Female category. All individuals including transgender people are eligible to compete in the Open category. Responses to this question will enable event organisers to allocate competitors into the correct race category, as required under the British Triathlon Transgender Policy effective 1 January 2023. Transfers, withdrawals and refunds

Participation in the Event is personal to the entrant. No transfer and/or swapping of race numbers is permitted and will lead to disqualification from the Event. Entries cannot be deferred.  

If an entrant is unable to compete in the Event, they should endeavour to notify the Event Organiser using the contact details on this page. No refund of the entry fee shall be made where an entrant is withdrawn or is unable to make the Event.
