Welcome to the Fitnessat58֯ Loch Morlich Running Festival!

We are renowned for delivering unforgettable fitness experiences in unforgettable locations and over the last few years, have developed a great reputation for our accessible, personal and friendly events in stunning locations. Our Loch Morlich Running Festival has been an event growing in popularity for the last 6 years now and we are delighted to say, IT'S BACK!

The Loch Morlich Running Festival takes place on Saturday 4th January 2025, making it a unique event! This is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your 2025 with friends and family, whilst pushing yourself to one of the most stunning finish lines in the UK, Loch Morlich beach. The event is very welcoming, our supportive team will cheer you on whether you decide to walk, jog or you are going for a personal best!

Both courses are on forest tracks (trail shoes are recommended but not essential), the exact distances are 5.6KM and 11.2KM (every year, we get feedback about the fact the course is longer than 5K and longer than 10K, we make this very clear in the pre-event information and this allows us to finish on the beach, we don't feel that we should call the event "The Loch Morlich 11.2K", thank you for your understanding, we did warn you!), the course includes stunning views throughout as you make your way through the Glenmore Forest to Loch Morlich beach. The course will be well marshalled and sign posted.

Registration and the start are at the Hayfield, Glenmore. To get to the start, simply follow directions for Cairngorm Mountain, just before you reach the orange snow gates at the bottom of the ski road, you will see the Hayfield on the right hand side. Please use Forestry Scotland car parks, which are situated around the start area. Toilets will be available on site. From the finish, you will have a five minute walk back to the start. 

What's included? 

-Warm up with all runners with Fitnessat58֯ instructor Sam Cairns. 

-Chip Timing provided by Perfect Timing Scotland, with results sent out on the day. Category results also provided. *Please accept and understand the price increase for this event is to allow us to use chip timing moving forward, which is a lot more accurate and professional. We work with Perfect Timing Scotland for our Speyside Triathlon and they do a fantastic job. 

-Bespoke Loch Morlich Running Festival finishers medal.

-Tasty home baking at the finish.

-Prizes for the top three male and female in both the 5K and 10K races. 

-Dog friendly, family friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We kindly ask that you keep your dog on a lead.

-A stunning course, with the Cairngorm Mountains as your backdrop and a completely unique finish line.

5K: £30.

10K: £35. 

*We strive to make this a family friendly event, under 16s can run for free when a parent or guardian signs up too. Please email us to register under 16s.
