Gold Geese (registered charity, no.1182332) provides personalised practical and emotional support to families of children and young people fighting cancer in Mid & South Essex. Everybody’s experience of cancer is different, so we tailor care for each family, including funding for mental health therapy, treats, toys and gifts, respite trips, food shop vouchers, practical help with hospital transport, bereavement support. We also raise awareness of childhood cancer signs and symptoms and deliver training workshops to childcare practitioners, parents and healthcare professionals. And we encourage people to donate blood and register as potential bone marrow donors, as these are needed in some cancer treatments. Gold Geese relies on community support and donations for its work. www.goldgeese.org

Southend Foodbank (registered charity, no.1163160) provides emergency food parcels to support people in our local community with three days of nutritionally balanced food, operating on a referral basis. Practical support is also offered to help people in their hardest moments. Donations of funds and food (instant or long-life) are vital to ensure we can continue to meet the need within the community. Thank you for your support! https://southend.foodbank.org.uk/

Our race also supports The Essex Wildlife Trust who kindly allow us to use Two Tree Island Nature Reserve for our spooky dark section.
