Langtoft Race Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are for the 10k road race and the 3k fun run

By entering this event you agree to abide by these terms and conditions and any race instructions given by the race organisers. The Langtoft road races are delivered in accordance with UKA Rules and regulations and is organised by the Langtoft road race committee

Only runners that hold a UKA Competition License are considered to be Club-affiliated and the Affiliation Discount only applies to these. The entry system at our timing partners JC Race Solutions will automatically check this requirement.

You can only enter the race via Entry Central website. On the day entries will cost +£1 over the online entry price.

For the 10k race, anyone who will be aged 15 or older on or before Race Day may apply for entry to the race. There is no age restriction for the 3k fun run, although children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Applications will be accepted up to entry limit in the order of date received, subject to entry closure date.

Closing date for all entries is midnight on the day before the race or when the race limit has been reached, whichever comes first.

The Race Director at his discretion may reduce the entry limit in the interest of health & safety.

If your entry is accepted, your fee is non-refundable, even in the case of event cancellation. If you are unable to take part in the event and you withdraw, then the monies for your entry will be donated to our supported charities.

Only one application per person will be accepted; any fees processed due to individuals submitting duplicate entries are non-refundable.

Entries can be transferred to another runner up to midnight on the day before the race. Please see transfer details for additional information.

We do not defer entries to the following year's race.

We reserve the right to refuse to allow you to participate in the event at the start or to continue participation at any point along the route of the event, should you be deemed to be behaving inappropriately or give cause for concern that your continued participation may cause offence or injury to yourself, any spectator or other competitors. This includes the wearing of any clothing or visual message that may cause offence.

Failure to comply with an instruction from race officials will result in disqualification and ejection from the race.

Race numbers must be displayed on your front. Anyone not displaying an official race number or displaying it in an inappropriate way will be removed from the race.

All entrants are required to finish the race in under one and a half hours. Anyone still on the course after 90 minutes will be considered a walking pedestrian and must follow the highway code.

Roads are not closed to traffic so be aware of traffic and please pay attention to marshalls.

The wearing of headphones and other music playing devices is not permitted. This is for your own safety, as listening to music during a race may distract you from being able to hear instructions from race officials and other runners on the course. Anyone wearing headphones during the event will be disqualified.

No pets or other animals are permitted in the race.

No pacemakers or accompanying cyclists are allowed.

If any partially sighted athlete needs a guide to help them round the course there will be no entry fee for the guide, although obviously they would not be participating in the race in their own right and are running entirely at their own risk.

The decision of the Race Referee in terms of prize allocations is final and the Race Director will not enter any discussions on this matter.

By entering the event you give permission for relevant information you have provided to our first aid providers.

By entering the event you agree that we may publish your limited Personal Information as part of the results of the Event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, Town of residence, any club affiliation, race times, position, pace, occupation and age category. Please inform us at admin@jcracetiming.uk if you do not wish to appear in the Results.

Photographs and videos of the race will be taken for publicity purposes. Your image may be used and by entering the race, give permission for it to be used freely.
