Organiser's Description


THURSDAY 16th MAY 2024

Starting at 7.30PM from Branklyn Gardens car park, just off the Dundee Road, Perth 

The route is approx. 7km, over a one-lap course , with 243m of climb. 

Competitors must be 16 years of age or over on the day of the race.

There will NO entries on the night.


Collect race number from Kinnoull Church Hall, Dundee Road, Perth. PH2 7EY.


There will be limited changing facilities, and no showers, at Kinnoull Church Hall. Please arrive in your running gear if possible.


Prefered options are the car parks at Riverside (behind church hall) and Bellwood Park (close to registration). Please park responsibly and consider our neighbours.

The start at Branklyn gardens is a short walk/jog from the church hall.

The Course

The course is on established paths and tracks and will be marked at intervals by red and white barrier tape. Starting from Branklyn gardens the route climbs to the stone table at the top of Kinnoull hill, then goes down slightly and back up again to Kinnoull tower. From here it is down hill until a sharp left takes you on undulating tracks back across the lower section of the hill to the finish at Branklyn gardens. Please be careful of tree roots on some of the narrower tracks in the second half of the course.


There will be prizes for the following categories;

First 3 males; first 3 females; first male V40; first female V40; first male V50; first female V50.


The event is organised by Perth Strathtay Harriers, who will not be held responsible for any injuries or illnesses. The race is bound by Scottish Hill Runners' rules. All hill race competitors have a prime responsibility for their own safety. As a minimum, runners should carry full body cover (waterproofs) and a whistle. You must judge as to whether you are able and equipped to take part.
