THE HEREFORD 10 MILE RACE

The Hereford 10 Mile Race is back for 2027, join us for a fast-paced race starting within the heart of Hereford and taking participants on a picturesque route around Herefordshire. The chip timed race starts and finishes at Hereford Rugby Club, which will be open on the day for refreshments. 
 

Race information;

Race Date: Sunday 14th February 2027

Start Time: 9.00am - Chip timed race

Entries: Entry Fees: £25.00 – Affiliated / £27.00 – Unattached. Race Limit 500. Minimum age 18 on day of event. ALL ENTRANTS MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE, NO ON THE DAY SIGN UPS PERMITTED.

Race HQ: Hereford Rugby Club, Belvedere Lane, Hereford HR4 0PH

Parking: There is strictly NO parking at the Rugby Club – there are many pay and display car parks within a short walk please ensure you check these out before the day and arrive in plenty of time to make your way to Bib collection at the Rugby Club.

Facilities: Toilets available on site.

Refreshments: There will be a single water station on the course that will be passed at 4 miles and 7 miles. Water will be provided post-race. Additional refreshments will be available to purchase directly from the rugby club.

First Aid: Full medical event cover will be in place.

Distance/Terrain: 10 Miles - 16kms - Road

Medals: Every finisher will receive a race memento

Prizes: Male and Female Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed and Male and Female Age category prizes in 5-year vet age bands as well as Team Prize for first 3 males and first 3 females.

Terms And Conditions

By signing up each individual agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1.       As an England Athletics affiliated organiser (7693574) this event is to be held under UK Athletics rules with a full race license. The individual agrees to abide by the rules of the event and that the officials' decision is final.

2.       Strictly NO HEADPHONES to be worn throughout the race other than bone conducting headphones. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

3.       The provided number race bibs will be worn by all competitors, always ensuring visible. Race numbers must not be cut or folded.

4.       The individual confirms that they have no medical disability that would endanger themselves or others by taking part (and will not run if unfit to do so on the day).

5.       The individual understands that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or illness howsoever caused as a result of entering the race.  The individual agrees that during the race they will obey marshals' instructions. No dogs will be allowed on the course.

6.       If for any reason beyond the control of the organisers the race has to be cancelled on the day (Adverse weather, “Act of god”, Flooding, Accidents, Incidents, COVID-19 restrictions etc) the organisers will do everything possible to reschedule the race.

7.       Entries cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the event is cancelled. At the organisers discretion you may be able to transfer to the following year. Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the Event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. Liability for the cancellation or rescheduling of an Event will be limited to the refund as set out in these terms and conditions. We will not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence or other breach of statutory duty

8.       Transfers - Race place transfers are only available until 15^th January 2027 and must be requested via Entry Central’s “Change Person Request”

9.       All entrants shall be deemed to have made themself familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the [date of entry], whether the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK. For added clarification, the date of entry is the date of the event

10.   The Organiser reserves the right to alter the course, start time, or event format if necessary for safety or operational reasons. Reasonable effort will be made to inform competitors of any changes as soon as possible.

11.   Personal information provided during entry will be used for event administration and timing. Participant names, club details, categories, and finish times may be published publicly in start lists and results. Data will be handled in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.

12.   By entering, you consent to your image being used for event promotion and publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must inform the Organiser in advance. The organiser and event partners may take photos and videos during the event.
