Harry Gamble-Thompson passed away on the eve of the 2019 20Ten race. Harry became a member of New Marske Harriers not long after it was formed in 1986. He was well known on the North East road running scene, particularly in the marathon. His time 2:32:10 at London Marathon 1982 ranks him 10th in All Time UK Vet 50 for the marathon. He probably ran faster than that - there was no chip timing in those days. Harry was also chairman of the club for 10 years and would still turn up at Saturday sessions to help out until 2018.

Of the races organised by New Marske Harriers, this is the one nearest in distance to his beloved marathon, and the proximity to his passing, it seems an appriate tribute to re-name it in his honour.

FOR 2021....

We hope the event will go ahead but we have no idea what the status of COVID restrictions will be. So the we have opened entries in the form of a waiting list. We leave turning these around into actual entries ie asking for payment, as late as possible - possibly as late as two weeks before, although we may have to make a decision (either way) before then.

This race is one of three previous events that uses multiple laps of an accurately measured mile loop.

All our races are chip time and results are available via our partner results website RunSignUp - however we do not accept entries via this site - if you click on the appropriate link below you find this years and previous results

This is essentially a 20 mile race with a 10 mile option - you decide any time up to 9.9 miles, but if you pull out after 10 miles you will considered as DNF.

Entry Fee:  £20 (Less £3 discount for EA registered)

Should this race be postponed due to adverse weather it will be re-arranged for 22nd March 2020

The Locke Park race dates are
