Scotland's original sea swim based standard distance triathlon race, and one of the most scenic triathlons in Britain.

This year we are looking forward to welcoming competitors to the 30th annual Gullane Beach Triathlon on Sunday 6th September 2026.

Take on the full traithlon or enter as a team of three, with each member completing one discipline. New this year, we are pleased to offer Swim-Bike and Bike-Run only options too.

Event Information

Swim 1500m:
A 2 lap sea swim in Gullane Bay with a unique beach run.

Bike 42km:
A multi-lap course on quiet roads close to Gullane.

Run 10km:
2 laps of a mainly off-road circuit, including wonderful sea views.

Gullane is located on the East Lothian coast approximately 18 miles east of Edinburgh on the A198.

The race will start at 9am on Sunday 6th September 2026.  Registration on the day will be from 7am at Gullane Beach.

Race information will be sent out prior to the event and will be posted on the event facebook site and website approximately 1 week prior to the event.
