Try Triathlon in Grantown-on-Spey!
The Grantown-on-Spey Triathlon is held in the picturesque capital of Strathspey set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The annual summer event also attracts competitors with all levels of experience but is mainly targeted at novices of all ages competing as individuals or in teams of two or three.
Swim
300 metres (15 lengths of a 20 metre pool), 2 or 3 competitors per lane
Cycle
16Km (10 miles)circuit round the Grantown Braes through some spectacular highland scenery.
Run
4.8Km (3 miles)through the Anagach Community woods.

Individual: £35.00
Team of 2 or 3: £66.00
Junior team of 2 or 3 (entrants 18 or under): £35.00
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM AGE LIMIT FOR INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES IS 11 YEARS OLD, HOWEVER, ALL CHILDREN UNDER 15 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT ON THE BIKE ROUTE. CHILDREN UNDER 15 MAY ENTER AS PART OF A TEAM. THE MINIMUM AGE IS SET AT 11 YEARS FOR THE TEAM EVENT, PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOUR CHILD IS YOUNGER THAN THIS TO DISCUSS PARTICIPATION.
AT THIS STAGE THERE IS NO JUNIOR TRY-TRI ON SATURDAY 18TH MAY 2024

Grantown Try Tri (Team Relay)
Teams of 3: Team relay event is generally for teams of three with each member participating in one discipline.
Teams of 2: It is perfectly feasible to participate in a team of two, or indeed as part of two teams - you will need to work out the logistics to do this though!
Children as part of a team: The team event is ideal for children but please take the following into consideration:
Swim stage for children - please make sure you enter a realistic swim time for your child, so do try to time their 300m distance. The pool has many officials and a lifeguard on duty.
Cycle stage for children - If you wish your child to participate in the cycle stage, they must be accompanied by an adult if aged 15 or under and you will be responsible for the safety of your child. The cycle route is signposted, marshalled by static volunteers and marshalled by Inverness Radio Volunteer cars who are first aid trained.
Run stage for children - It is advised that you accompany any children under the age of 15. The route is all off road with the exception of minor roads to cross on the way out and on the way back. The run section is also mainly in Anagach woods. An adult may run or cycle alongside them (mountain bike required) if you can't keep up with them. This route is signposted and marshalled with static volunteers.

Welcome to the 2024 Grantown Try Tri
The race is open to all individuals over the age of 11 on race day.
Children's Entries
Swim stage for children - please make sure you enter a realistic swim time for your child, so do try to time their 300m distance. The pool has many officials and a lifeguard on duty.

Parental Consent
If you are 17 or under you will be required to submit a parental consent form on the day of the event. This will be included in your race pack (issued on the morning of the event) and is to be signed and handed in at registration.
