Edinburgh University 'KB' 5 Mile Road Race
03 Mar 18
This year the Edinburgh University Hare and Hounds Running Club are hosting their annual KB5 Road Race on Saturday 3rd March.
This 5 mile road race takes place around the scenic streets of South Edinburgh, providing great views across the city! The 1 lap course is fairly undulating and is always popular with local club runners. A map of the course is available on our website.
Visit our website ( http://haries.eusu.ed.ac.uk/racing/kb5 ) and facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1861368520820940/) for more information about the race!
This year, the club will be fundraising for Cardiac Risk in the Young (C-R-Y) who do great work reducing the number of young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD). CRY also offers support to young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. One third of all proceeds will be donated to C-R-Y. http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/
Entry is £5 for SA members and £7 otherwise. Entry is also available on the day at registration for an additional £1.
Registration, number collection and entries on the day will be in KB House, at King's Buildings (West Mains Road), from 10:30am until 11:45pm. The race will begin at 12pm. Toilets, changing and showering facilities are available in KB House. Participants must be 17 years old or over on the day of the race.
The prize giving will take place shortly after the race in KB House, where there will also be refreshments and a bake sale available.
