Welcome to the 2026 East Lothian Triathlon Festival (incl. Scottish National Relay Championships)
Delivered by the East Lothian Triathlon Club.
We have 7 races on Sunday 30th August 2026
- Sprint Triathlon Relay : Scottish National Championships Event
- Sprint Triathlon Individual
- Novice Triathlon Individual
- Sprint Duathlon Relay
- Sprint Duathlon Individual
- Novice Duathlon Individual
- 10Km Run Race
Detailed pre-race information will be emailed out to entrants in the week before the event.
The timetable is to be confirmed in pre-race information but for the triathlon it is likely to start with a number of swim waves commencing around 8am. All other events will be shortly after this.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis until we are at full allocation. Earlybird prices are limited to the fist few entrants only.
All bikes must be roadworthy and helmets are compulsory. The bike route takes place on quiet roads and therefore suitable for those new to triathlon, but please note that the roads will not be closed and you will be cycling on roads which are open to traffic. It is the responsibility of all competitors to obey the rules, observe the Highway Code and be courteous and considerate to any member of the public encountered during the race.
The bike course is a non-drafting event, TT bikes are allowed.
The races will be run under Triathlon Scotland rules. You are responsible for knowing the rules and the course. More information can be found at www.triathlonscotland.org
Race Pass : If you are not a member of Triathlon Scotland or another Home Nation, then you need to purchase a Race Pass to be insured on race day. This is a requirement of Triathlon Scotland. This option will be offered to you automatically when signing up. For more information visit the British Triathlon website: https://www.britishtriathlon.org/race-pass
Relay Teams can be made up of 2 or 3 people.
Entrants must be 16 years old or older.
You will need to enter your estimated swim time, but don't worry, we will ask again 2 weeks before the race if you want to update it. This is to ensure fair and safe seeding for swim waves.
Closing date for all entries is 16th August.

ELTF 2026 Sprint Triathlon Relay : Scottish National Championships Event

The 750m swim will take place in the swimming pool within Aubigny Sports Centre.
The bike route takes in some quiet, fast and scenic country roads in and around Haddington. East Lothian Triathlon Festival 2025 Race - 24km Bike Route
The run takes place on (mainly) pavements comprising 2 loops of a 2.5km route taking in Haddington's scenic riverside. East Lothian Triathlon Festival 2025 Race - Run route (2.5km Laps)
Cross the finishline at the Race hub and soak in the atmosphere.
Mixed, Open and Female overlall winners allocated by Triathlon scotland (TS federation members only).
Note: If you are not a Triathlon Scotland member, you will not be elegable for awards, but you are welcome to enter and take part.
To be eligible to win a Scottish National Mixed Team Relay Club Championships title, all of your team members must be a member of the same Triathlon Scotland affiliated club, as well as all being a Core or Ultimate member of Triathlon Scotland. Applications to change clubs must be made to Triathlon Scotland 14 days before the Mixed Team Relay Championship race. Please see the British Triathlon rule book for full details of Mixed Team relay eligibility.
Double points for Scottish club Championships, so make sure you enter under your club name.

ELTF 2026 10km Run
Haddington 10km Run
The startline is on Neilson park at the race hub, and follows a 5km loop that takes in some of Haddingtons scenic riverside, and wooded areas, out to Agnes Burns well before turning back and passing back through the hub for the second lap of the loop,same loop again and back to cheers over the finishline and the Race hub to soak in the atmosphere.
