Coaching Weekend

6-7 September, 2025 at Picky

Come and join the Orkney CC cyclo-cross coaches for an action-packed and fun-filled weekend of cyclo-cross coaching and races. 

COACHING DAY - Saturday 6^th

VENUE: KIRKWALL SPORTS CENTRE (PICKY) - Upper Fields

Coaching sessions will be in Primary class age-groups. The emphasis will be on having fun with skills progression being combined with mini-races. All coaching will be held on a grass area in a safe, off-road environment.

P2-P3 JUNIOR CYCLO-CROSS

Time 1200-1315

75 mins (Max Number 25) £4.00

For all juniors P2-P3 who are either new to cyclo-cross or for those with experience wanting to develop their skills and confidence. Includes free entry into race on Sunday

P4-P5 JUNIOR CYCLO-CROSS

Time 1330-1445

75 mins (Max Number 25) £4.00

For all juniors P4-P5 who are either new to cyclo-cross or for those with experience wanting to develop their skills and confidence. Includes free entry into race on Sunday

P6-P7 JUNIOR CYCLO-CROSS

Time 1500-1615

75 mins (Max Number 25) £4.00

For all juniors P6-P7 who are either new to cyclo-cross or for those with experience wanting to develop their skills and confidence. Includes free entry into race on Sunday

RACE DAY - Sunday 7^th

VENUE: KIRKWALL SPORTS CENTRE (PICKY) - Upper Fields

1400 – 1600

P2- P3 Race - 15 mins race

P4- P5 Race - 15 mins race

P6-P7 Race - 20 mins race

Registration FOR ALL RACES between 1400 and 1415 

Warm-up 1415

First race at 1445 

There will be a short prize giving and medal ceremony after the last race.

The event will finish at approximately 1600

DETAILS

All those entered into any coaching session will automatically gain entry into the race day on Sunday afternoon free of charge.

If you are unable to attend the coaching you can still attend the race for an entry fee of £4. In this instance please book a coaching place and then email coaching@orkney.cc
