Bellahouston Harriers’ flagship event, the Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k race, is now open for 2026 entries.

The Event

The Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k has become one of the 'must-race' events in the Scottish running calendar. This year, the event will take place on Friday 19th June, with the race start at 7.30pm.

The event combines fast racing and a competitive field with a ‘Friday night in summer’ vibe and the promise of a free beer and burger at the finish line.

The race starts and finishes at Cartha Queen's Park RFC (92 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN), and is staged over a two-loop course largely inside the scenic grounds of Pollok Park. The course route is officially certified and benefits from traffic management controls which ensure that all sections run outside the park will be on traffic-free roads.

Olympian Callum Hawkins won the 2025 Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k, crossing the line in a time of 29:52. First in the women's race was Shettleston Harriers’ Fionnuala Ross. With her winning time of 34:37, Ross was in a group of just 27 runners that broke 36 minutes on the night in which competitors had to adjust pre-race ambitions on account of the sweltering conditions. Of the 367 runners who finished, 70 were round the course in under 40 minutes.

Entry Fee

The price of entry is £25 (£23 with a Scottish Athletics number), though an early bird discount price of £22 (£20 with a Scottish Athletics number) is available for the first 150 entries sold. Entries will close on Monday 8th June 2026. Early entry is encouraged as the event has sold out every time since 2017.

Post-race

Bellahouston Harriers extends a warm welcome to all runners, families and supporters and encourages you to stay and socialise at the clubhouse at Cartha, where the barbecue and post-race prize-giving will be hosted. 

The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics licensed event (No. ES014872).

Entries are non-transferable and cannot be deferred. Refunds are only available if the organisers cancel the race.
