Organiser's Description

Bellahouston Harriers are delighted to announce this year’s Brian Goodwin 10k race is now open for entries.

The Brian Goodwin 10k is a long-established 'must-race' event on the Scottish running circuit and will take place on the slightly earlier date of Friday 2nd June, with a starting time of 7.30pm.

Bellahouston Harriers' flagship 10k road race combines fast racing and a competitive field with a ‘Friday night in summer’ vibe and the promise of a free beer and burger at the finish line.

The race starts and finishes at Cartha Queen's Park RFC (92 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN), and is staged over a two-loop course largely inside the scenic grounds of Pollok Park. The course route is officially certified and benefits from traffic management controls which ensure that all sections run outside the park will be on traffic-free roads.

Olympian Derek Hawkins, and Cambuslang Harriers' Eve MacKinnon, were the race winners in 2022 when the top nine finished under the 31 minute barrier, a further 29 finishers broke 34 minutes, while 115 finished under 40 minutes!

We look forward to seeing what YOU and the field of 2023 will achieve!

Bellahouston Harriers extends a warm welcome to all runners, families and supporters, and encourages you to stay and socialise at the clubhouse at Cartha, where the barbecue and post-race prize-giving will be hosted. Prizes will be awarded to the first three males and females. Team and age-group prizes are also on offer.
