Bodenham Bound – Summer 2026

The Race:

Join us for our first ever Summer Bodenham Bound, following the success of our Winter events held in January!

This exciting new evening trail run brings a fresh twist to our much-loved event, set within the stunning grounds of Bodenham Arboretum.

This year, we are proud to be raising money for HELP, our local homeless charity, supporting vital work within the community and Harkaway Scout group

Take on either a 5km or 10km route (2 laps of the 5km course), featuring a challenging and varied multi-terrain course. Situated at the convergence of three valleys, expect hills, woodland trails, open ground, and a few harder surfaces as you run the boundary of the arboretum.

The Details:

Event Date: Saturday 13th June 2026
Venue: Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY11 5TB
Run Distance: 5km or 10km (2 laps of the 5km course)
Surface: Multi-terrain
Entry Fee: £16 Early Bird / £18 Standard (online only – no entries on the day)
Age Restrictions: Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
Wheelchair Accessibility: No
Total Places: 160 runners

Run Start Time: 6:00 PM
Registration & Number Collection: From 5:00 PM

Please arrive in plenty of time to sign in and collect your race number.

Additional Information:

• Water available at the finish line
• No water stations on the course
• Refill point available at the end of the first lap (5km) for runners’ bottles
• Runners are strongly advised to bring their own reusable water bottle
• All abilities welcome
• Friendly marshals and clearly marked route
• Finishers medal & donut
• Tea, coffee, and ice creams available to purchase
• Food available from the arboretum (ideal if arriving early)
• Free on-site parking
• Trail shoes highly recommended

Please note: There are no changing facilities on site. Please arrive race-ready and respect the arboretum by removing muddy shoes before entering buildings.

Important Notes:

Own Risk:
This is a challenging, multi-terrain course. All runners take part at their own risk and should dress appropriately for the conditions.

Evening Cut-Off:
Due to this being an evening race, runners who have not completed the 5km course by 6:50 PM will not be permitted to continue onto the 10km route.

Weather & Ground Conditions:
As this is a summer evening event, conditions should be more favourable; however, uneven terrain, tree roots, and muddy sections are still possible. The event will only be cancelled in extreme conditions (e.g. thunderstorms).

Refunds:
As this is a charity event, no refunds will be issued if you withdraw or if the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.

Timing:

We will be using a barcode scanning system. While this works well, it may not be 100% accurate if runners switch between the 5km and 10km on the day. If timing is important to you, please use your own device.
