The Demon is back for 2024!

Blaze the Biblins is a trail race based within some of Britains finest AONB.

£13 affiliated and £15 unaffiliated. 

The race route is designed by runners, for runners and features climbs, flat sections and technical single track. The race starts near the Doward Youth campsite, winding through ancient woodland, past historic Ironworks, along picturesque riverbanks before the infamous Demon hill climb before a rewarding descent to the finish. 

The route will be fully marked and marshalled with a mid point water station and first aid cover. Finishers will be rewarded with a momento and tea and cake at race HQ! The race is a Welsh Athletics Permit event and is being held under UK Athletics Rules. 

Blaze the Biblins covers a distance of approximately 6 miles (or 10k) on a mixture of hard trails, single track and unmade ground. The route will be signposted and marshalled but runners remain responsible for their own safety at all times. Trail shoes are recommended; please ensure you have trained for the event and weather conditions on the day. 

The event is open to all runners with a minimum age of 17 years old on the race day. 

There will be an entry limit of 200 and once this is full we will operate a waiting list. If a place becomes available following a withdrawal, those on the waiting list will be notified and offered an opportunity to take up the place.

Race registration will be open from 9:00am on the day of the race and will close 15 minutes before the start. Registration will be at race HQ which is Biblins Youth Campsite, Doward, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 6DX. There will be toilet facilities at Race HQ but no shower or washing facilities. Kit bags can be left at Race HQ which will be occupied throughout the duration of the event but the organisers accept no responsibility for the safety or security of any articles left unattended. 

The race will start at 11:00am 

There is limited parking near the event HQ so please carshare where possible and follow the directions of the parking marshalls at all times. The narrow roads serve the public so please do not park on the roadside. 

Runners must assemble at the start line 10 minutes prior to the start for the race briefing. 

Prizes will be awarded to overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in both Male and Female categories as well as winners of age group categories.
