The Blade Runner is a 7-mile multi-terrain race that starts and finishes at wind turbines on the Oakdale plateau and uses the lanes to loop the village of Manmoel.   

This year's race has been picked as one of the East Wales Clubs Road Championship 2025.

Join us for one of our iconic runs, taking in the scenic and enjoyable route.  

All participants must be over the age of 16 on race day. Entry fees are £10.00 for UK Athletics registered runners and £12.00 for non-affiliated runners. There is a small booking fee.  

Welsh Athletics Race Licence applied for under UKA Rules.  

 All finishers will receive a commemorative race buff.  

 The race awards ceremony will be held at The Travellers Rest, Oakdale, NP12 0HY.

Race HQ will be outside Braces Bakery, where the start line is situated.  Entries will be available on the day.

Entries close on 21st June! There are just 200 places available so don't miss out!  Race day information will be emailed out to all participants before the race.  

Race numbers can be collected from the registration desk on race day.   

All running abilities are welcome, however the course is undulating and unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. We will ask you for a predicted race time on registration, this is to help us plan locations and timing of our volunteers.  

Once entered there are no cancellations or deferrals. If you wish to transfer your place to another runner you can do so via your Entry Central login before 21st June 2025.
