Loch Lomond Beastie Aquathlon

This race forms part of Triathlon Scotland’s 2022 National Triathlon Series. In order to place in the series you must be a Core or Ultimate member of Triathlon Scotland on the day of the race.

The infamous Loch Lomond Beastie Triathlons will be held in and on the banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch Castle Country Park on Saturday, July 30th, 2022.

Hi and Welcome to the entrycentral for the Lomond Beastie Aquathlon 2022. We are delighted to return after 2 years beign cancelled due to the COVID restrictions. The Beastie Aquathlon is one of the most challenging and exciting Aquathlons in the UK.  Set in the beautiful and historic Balloch Country Park on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Aquathlons comprises a 750m swim in the Loch and 5k run, finishing in front of the castle (on the exact spot were OASIS, RUNRIG and REM played all those years ago).  Each year we all have a great time and the public come out to cheer on the brave athletes.

We have some rules:

• Wetsuits are compulsory if the temperature of the water is below 14C and not allowed if the water temperature is above 22c (or 24.6C if you are 60+) 
• You must smile at the marshals, they are volunteers and if you don’t they will send you the wrong way (not really they will  always send you in the right direction)
• The run is two laps on mixed terrain (road trainers will be fine if its dry).

Each athlete will receive some fantastic goodies to remind you of completing the Loch Lomond Beastie Aquathlon

In the unfortunate event you need to withdraw from the race please let us know at the earliest opportunity as it may be possible to offer the place to another person.

Withdrawals up to MAY 30th 2022 will receive a full refund, then up to JUNE 30th 2022 it will be a 75% refund. Sadly we cant provide refunds after June 30th 2022.
